Exeter Montage: 1942 and 2011

The following photographs all shows scenes of the aftermath of the Exeter Blitz of 1942 merged with views of the same streets today, e.g. Sidwell Street, above. I've tried to place the images of 1942 as closely as possible to their original position.

I have just had a look at your brilliant pictures and think that the last two show 2 of the 3 shops operated by Jimmy Rigby and his family. The 3rd was at the other end of Sidwell Street (where the student accommodation is).
One of the shops - probably in Paris Street - was involved in a possible looting case in 1942.
